[UKFSN Status] Email Outage this evening

I urgently need to complete the work to get the new email server in place 
as the demand on resources on the current server has reached a point where 
it is not going to keep up.

I'm running some final tests on the system to convert the email system for 
the new server platform which includes the introduction of an imap service 
in addition to the current POP3 facility. Once this is done I propose to 
make the switch over this evening so there will be a period of about 90 
minutes during which UKFSN email service will be suspended.

No incoming email will be lost as the backup MX server will accept all 
email and hold it until the main server (the new one) kicks in.

I anticipate this will be at around 9.30 this evening until 11pm.

I will send out a further announcement before I start the switch over.
