BT have confirmed that the 3rd 622Mb BT Central Pipe will be installed
between the 8th and 22nd of December.

Having the additional capacity in place before Christmas is a nice
present. :)

Enta have committed to ordering a 4th such pipe once the 3rd one is in
place.

UKFSN is one of Enta's more active resellers and since July we've
experienced growth of 15%-25% month on month. While I don't expect to see
growth continue at about 20% every month it is reassuring to know that
Enta will have more than sufficient capacity available to meet the growth.

Beyond the 4th 622Mb pipe Enta plan to start ordering BT's new 21st
Century replacement for Central pipes as soon as they are available on the
basis that this will put Enta in place to take part in the ADSL 2+ trials
when they start next year thus gaining valuable experience ahead of the
general rollout of ADSL 2+ in 2008.

PRICING
=======

Some of you may have noticed that BT Wholesale has proposed some changes
to the pricing of ADSL services. Having looked a little closer at the
pricing it has become clear that they are nothing like as generous as BT
pretend. In practice the price drop is only worth about 40p - £1.50 on
each connection each month.

I have spoken with Enta's COO about this and he tells me that while these
are provisional figures he has started working them into similarly
provisional projections so he can plan how to make things better for end
users as a result.

These price changes are subject to OFCOM review and will not happen before
May next year.

One not so nice change BT are seeking to introduce is a £33.75 charge on
ADSL ceases. This wont apply on migrations but will apply on house moves
and simple cease service requests.
