[UKFSN Status] BT ADSL Speed Test may be unreliable

As part of the method for determining the likely cause of a speed problem
on ADSL services we ask our users to run the BT speed test.

We've just received a briefing from BT in which they state that on MAX
lines operating at download speeds in excess of 3Mb/s their speed test
tool may be providing inaccurate results.

They don't state how widespread the problem is however they do say it may
take until the end of July to fix it.

The BT speed test is still the only tool available with which to measure
likely exchange/BT network congestion so users should continue to use it
to help determine the cause of speed issues however those receiving low
speed results should be aware of this issue.
